Surpise on a Tuesday afternoon!

Look what I found today on my table when I came back after lunch!!:

After peeling away the brown waxy paper..Ta da (comes with sandpaper too!)~~~

Here is a shot of all 6 of them lined up together:

I'm so happy to finally get my hands on them. I've been searching high and low for something similar to these at the stores to no avail for the past 2 months. So, u can imagine my elation when I managed to get a colleague to use his expert skills to do them for me! I've still not thought of a concept and colour theme yet for this acrylic album but I'm sure the ideas will flow..

Many thanks to HC and D for helping me to the acrylic pieces. I'm indebted to you for your kindness.

On a random note: Here is what I did today for the cover of the album i'm currently working on for a friend:

Whops: I do hope she is not browsing my blog cos that'll spoil the birthday surprise... *Cross fingers*

Sunday afternoon Scrapping..

Had some inspiration last night to use the cardboards I got from the Scarp store for free to make a mini album. They're about 2mm thick only and thinner then chipboards but are still very handy to make albums. I cut each piece in a 4.5" X 4.5" square and glued patterned cardstock on each of them. I'm not fully done with the whole album yet but here is what i used (patterned cardstock & cardboard):

The Insides (apologies - very plain..no inspiration to fill it up yet!)

Finally..the back page:

I punched three holes on each side using a puncher i bought from spotlight (Fantastic tool!) and went down to Popular just now to get the ring loops..

Going to work on it in the days to come cos it's a gift for a dear friend's birthday. I'll post more pictures as it develops.

Special thanks again to my sister for letting me steal some paper off her to match the rest of the paper and also for her fantastic corner shaper to round the ages. It's worth her $12.95 cos i get to use it!

1st Scrap Project

Some photos of my very first project which i completed in Feb. Took me 2 months to get down to taking photos and posting them. They're a whole set of 6 chip boards from Maya Road and it's really fun to work on them. I prefer doing such projects compared to Layouts..for some reason this is more fun!

This is a general photo of how it looks like:

Scrapbooking stuff...

My second altered product that i'm working on and i'm really glad that it has turned out nicely. Much better than i anticipated it honestly. Deliberately covered our faces so that my identity can be concealed. :)

Use Maya road chipboard and lined them with tonnes of yellow and green themed paper. Tried not to have too many colours and i kind of like the brown together with it. Really into altered products now, i think it's more fun than doing lay outs and i get a good kick out of seeing the finished product. I've left with the back of the house and am waiting for some inspiration.

Special thanks to my sister as always for giving me ideas and not making too much of a fuss when I troop over to her room to openly steal her embellishments. :)

Wasabi Mayo prawns from the Jade Restaurant at Fullerton. They are really awesome. I must say it's the best I've ever had. Better than the deep fried prawns.

I'm also on my way to reviving this blog now that my dad gave me a camera and i have the flexibility of carrying it around with me all the time instead of sharing with the sister. More updates soon! Watch for them!
