Completed Gypsy Tray!

Right Now:

Feeling very happy that I've finished the last 2 squares of the Tray today...great sense of accomplishment.

Having mixed feelings about going back to school tommorrow.  It's my weekly struggles with Sunday.  I hate Sunday evenings..depression starts..comes Monday morning, it fully sinks in... :(

Waiting for Football match to start. I can't believe our cubs are this good. Especially since their seniors can't even beat Thailand..

Just got H to take photos of the tray but the lighting isn't ideal at night and he tried hard but the photos still didn't turn out nicely.  Rather disappointing but I'll get him to do it again tmrw before nightfall.  Hopefully it'll be better.

Ok I should stop ranting and show you gals photos of my completed tray!

7 Gypsies Tray

Ah ha..Finally I got down to taking photos of my 7 Gypsies Tray that I've been working on for 2 weeks!  It's been crazy at work (as always, what's new???) but when I get home after a tiring day, I try to squeeze in at least half an hour to work on this.  

 

On some nights all I mange to do is to decide what embellishment to use, what colour glitter on what frame and that'll take up the half hour already!  On other better nights, I can finish 2 squares at one go..

Enough of me rattling on:  Here're some sneaks of my tray! :)

You can tell I've not finished it yet and still have some squares to go with no inspiration for the moment to finish it.   I hope to get it down by tomorrow or at least by the end of the week!

Weekend happenings!

Sincere apologies for doing the disappearing act again.  I am well aware that you check my blog regularly and I'm so sorry for not updating as frequently as I should!  I am trying but yeah..work is just..ya..hahah u know.

Anyway, over the weekend I did:

• Laundry. Yes. Laundry.  Handwashed the clothes :(

 

• Have a nice homecooked meal by H's aunt.  Yum..I really miss homecooked food.  Mum: Call me home more often when u cook please!

 

• Some scrapping. Ok, 4 rectangles out of 12 for my 7 Gypsies tray is not bad. Tonight I will do one more!

 

• Work.  Yeah.  But I'm so pleased with myself cos I did my Sri Lanka notes super nicely and the slides too.  It's probably my best slides ever in my 7 years of teaching.  (GOSH! Is it that long already??)  I never had such nice slides in my previous school probably cos all the other Admin stuff took up all my time. But at least here, I can do something for the benefit of the students.  Photos, Animation, Videos.  All Good to go.  Yippee!

 

• Pen Pic! Yikes!

 

• Scrap Shopping at Paper Market.  This is probably the main reason why I still work: So that I have money to buy frivolous stuff!

 

• Shop for new clothes at Chinatown.  My favourite haunt. 2 dress, 1 top.  Colleagues: You will see my next clothes next week.  And you're right if you guessed it's a dress!  :) :)

 

• Spent time with H just hanging out, watching tv & talking.  Nice.

Best treat of the weekend: Marina Bay Sands.

Most frustrating thing: The crowd there.  Gosh.  Mini Downtown East in the making..sort of marred the 'poshness' of the place.  But oh well..maybe next year a better venue.  

 Ee Jin: are u reading this? Hhahah :)

• Took photos with my precious Kate.  99% of the time when I asked her "Kate, will you take a photo with me?"  She instantly says 'NO' so quickly and firmly but still, I managed to bag these shots thanks to her super obliging nature.

Completed Baby Album!

For those of you who know:

I've started a blog shop with my good pal, Justina.  It's something we spoke about a few months back and decided to take the plunge 2 weeks ago.  For me, I love scrapbooking and the joy it brings to me.  To be able to make pretty things that people will buy is an additional bonus.  It's not a cheap hobby here in Singapore.  The materials are not pretty hefty and threathen to burn a big hole in my very small wallet but I try my best to look for discounts and good deals.  A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do yeah?

• Play with your mama's iphone and find your own puffer fish game.  You're really smart.  I was still mumbling in my speech at 2 and here you are, all tech savvy.
• Remember mama's, papa's, grandma's, grandpa's, xiao gu and my name.  You're awesome. Let's see you try Gu Zhang's name next. :)
• Say 'No' so easily and well, with so much conviction, I'm amazed at how much you understand.
• Eat A LOT and I mean A LOT of food.  From rice, to meat, to veggies, to egg, to fish, the list goes on. But gal, you REALLY can eat.  Go easy on the food man!
• be so obliging to say 'bye', 'hi', give hugs, 'sayang' people..I love feigning sad just to have u sayang me.
• recognise so many animals and you love Humphrey the Bird and the rabbits at church!
• Make the world go round and swoon all of us!
