Weekend blogger?

I'm starting to think that I'm a weekend blogger and this page gets updated only once a week but not much choice there as work takes up most of my time. This week, I was bogged down with 4 classes of tests but as of this morning I cleared all of them so yipppeeee...Decided to do a banner for a friend's kid and waiting for Huayi to give me some letters tomorrow to finish up the piece. I'm thinking of black glitter for the name. What do u think?

Next project in the works in a mini album about building a happy home..hope to finish it within the week!

Have a good week ahead!

October Afternoon!!

Found some time today to scrap with the new OA papers..they are so lovely and I decided to stop my hoarding habit and the 'save them for some special ocassion' mantra that I used to have. I still have tons of paper from yester-year seasons waiting to be used..so what the heck..no more hoarding!! Buy and scrap is the new maxim!!

Some closeup shots of the details...

Supply List:

Paper from October Afternoon
Chipboard Frames: Maya Road (Thanks to Iris for giving them to me!)
White Flowers: Handmade :)
American Crafts Letterbox frame
Stickers from OA Farm Fresh line.

Transparency at background from Hambly (Bought from Lia)
Pins are from Maya Road (Who else makes such great pins??)

Sincere apologies for the dim light and dark photos..I should make it a point to take photos in the day rather than at night!!

It's Monday again tomorrow..let's press on and get through it!!

Glitter madness!

Hi Ladies,
I got some my hands on some glitter yesterday and managed to pack some extra for sale. Have white, black and pinkish / purple for sale.

Black Glitter $2

Purplish / Pink Glitter $2

White Glitter (Pure White, looks like sugar. Sorry I ran out of ginseng bottles to store them. This one is a bigger pack than the previous 2 so it'll go for $2.50. I'd be happy to sell you half if you think it's too much for you @$1.50)

I love using glitter for chipboard and it gives a nice sparkling look to it. I usually use it for chipboard letters or frames. In the following picture, I used the white glitter on the 'everyday' chipboard letters. Incidentally, this notebook is for Beeks, my good old JC kaki, Uni friend and Eusoff Hall roomie who has asked me for one..so here it is gal!!

P.S: Anyone interested in the above red ribbon? I have some for sale too... :)

Do email me at joannavlee@hotmail.com if you're interested in any of the items!

1st touch of Websters!

I'm starting to believe that Websters is the best scrapbooking brand ever produced (ok, close fight with October Afternoon and Prima) but for now, my money and vote is for Websters! The latest lalluby lane and Life. Beautiful totally rocks! I bought these papers with my partner in crime about a month back and finally decided to get down to doing something this week...

A Teaser:

Another Teaser:

Ok, one last one...

And finally! Viola - The actual thing!

And true to my style - I used a white cardstock have no title and journaling. I remember going for my first SB class and Kelly was telling us that we need to have a title and journaling. She even put in strips of paper and secured them with eyelets on my layout so I'd be forced to journal but up till now it's still in it's original state and I've not written anything yet. Sorry Kelly! It's just not me to journal! And as for the white cardstock - yes, that's so me..I love white..I have so many white clothes and whenever the chance arises, it's always white for me!

Going to Steven's wedding later..can't wait to see the whole Eusoff gang and catch up..and of course..how handsome the groom is going to be. Grooms always look their best on their big day right?

Have a good weekend!!

Quick Post !

r

Did the following notebook for Sulina who wanted one..Almost startled when she told me she liked purple and if you know, I've never worked with purple before. It's a tough colour in my opinion! But I decided to go ahead and used the latest Bo Bunny range (thanks Huayi for your suggestion!) and me thinks it didn't come out too badly!

Next up is a layout using my current favourite Dear Lizzy line..I have so much paper I think I can do at least another 2 layouts till I get sick of it. Decided to also ride on the banner wave and put 2 in..LOVE THEM heaps...

Thanks for looking and have a good week! Tomorrow is already Wed..soon it'll be the weekend (and Steven's wedding! WOO!!)

Some time ago (ok, truthfully, it was a long time ago) that I won the first giveaway by thescrapbookcarton and was given some sheets of American Crafts Letterbox collection, flairs and some dew drops. It took me this long to work on those papers and finally used them up to make this album about my perception of life at 30 about different things -work, family, friendships and life. Kind of wish I made an album like this when I was 20 or 25 so that at least I could see how my perception of these things have changed over the years. I really can't remember my perspective of life back then but hey, at least when I'm 35 I have something to look back on!

Don't you love winning giveaways? It's really a wonderful feeling to open your mailbox and see some nice stash inside for you!! :) Big thanks to the lovely people at thescrapbookcarton for their generosity!

Goodies for Sale!

First time I"m doing this and am wondering if anyone is interested in the following:

1. Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage Stamp ($8)

Bought this from Laines this week and realised that it's too big for my stamping block so am thinking of letting it go. It's never been used!

2. Used Fiskars border punch ($8) *SOLD*

Used a couple of times but it's still in very good condition. Orignal price was $16.

If you're interested in any of these items, email me at joannavlee@hotmail.com

Thanks for looking!!

Flowerly layout!

Never attempted to use so many flowers on my layout but couldn't resist after I bought these lovely flowers from Leena who got them all the way from Bangkok! I so wanna go there in June and am making plans but the demonstrations seems a little scary for the moment but oh well..we'll see how it goes!

Anyway, this LO is about my sister and me..I've never scrapped any photo of her before so this is a first and I'm quite happy to have done so cos she's my main scrapping buddy and the person who dragged me down this road into the abyss I'm in now!

Just in case you're wondering, the papers & word stamps are all from On the Wings of a Dream which is really really very nice and breathtaking.

For Bazaar!

Did this and 3 other notebooks for sale for the upcoming bazaar by the lake for fund raising. Just a sneak peak into what we'll be doing!
