Just a really short and snappy post from me to say thanks for visiting my blog. I don't have any photos to post today as the lastest project I'm up to is not finished yet as I've been really busy with work. We're all busy getting ready for the new year and crafting has to take a back seat for now. However, I'll try my best to find time to finish my project either tonight or tomorrow morning and post photos.
Tmrw will be a good dinner catching up with friends at the Shang. It's a tradition we've kept for the past 10 years and we're still going strong even with partners and babies in tow.
Happy New Year everyone!

Pinked!!
Spent the most of yesterday and part of today trying to finish my latest layout. If you know me well, pink is often a colour I eschew and try to avoid at all cost (for reasons I cannot explain) ever since I started scrapping. It's just like how I never give brown clothes in a store a second glance. It just doesn't cut it for me. But yet somehow, I got inspiration yesterday to whip out my Basic Grey Lemonade Element Stickers to craft this layout which I thought would match well with my wedding photos.
I've never dabbled with such a girly and pink lay out before but overall, I think it's still within the acceptable 'sweetness' range for me. I'm also glad that I took the step to try something new and way out of my comfort zone. I wonder what's next!! :)
Notice the dew drops? I love them to bits..first attempt at using them and I'm sold. Totally. And I still thank the good and generous people at The Scrapbook Carton for sending them my way and making this layout possible.
Supply List:
White Basil Cardstock (easily available anywhere)
Flowers and embellishments: Basic Grey Element Stickers (Yes I know I've hoarded them for so long I don't think it's on sale in any store now!)
Dolly Lace Punch: Martha Steward (Still one of my all time favourites)
Patterned Paper: October Afternoon Ducks in a Row Collection (Hua Yi's favourite. Ok, and mine too!)
Thickers: American Craft 'Nutmeg' (not to be confused with Cosmo Cricket!)
Dew Drops: The Scrapbook Carton (Ok, you know where to get them right?)
Did I miss anything out??
Merry Christmas everyone!

Early Christmas Present!
The mail man came by yesterday but no one was home so we had to go to the Post Office today to collect this parcel. I was really happy to get the stash on my hands cos it had a whole bottle of dew drops in there. Got home quickly to take photos of the stuff before doing my work! (Real work, not scrap work!)
Quickly tore open the box..and viola! Woah..got air packs man...They're so thoughtful to even put air packs in case things get damaged.
After removing the air packs, this is what I saw..such lovely and simple packaging..complete with 'The Scarpbook Carton' logo..Looking very professional!
The big reveal: The contents! And the long awaited Dew Drops..and American Craft Letterbox collection! Such a lovely collection that I'm even ordering more patterned paper of the same collection from The Scrapbook Carton. I've even introduced HY, my good friend and colleague to the website and now we're pulling in our orders together to get stuff from them!
Do visit their site here and see what they have. The best thing I like about them is that they're reasonably priced..something all scrappers would appreciate!
Have a good Christmas everyone..I'll be very busy with parties and entertaining guests at my home but while we're all in the season, let's not forget Christ who came to Earth for us...and loved us enough to die for us.
Blessed Christmas!

Cosmo Cricket Galore!
Finally got down to creating stuff using my Cosmo Cricket stash that I won from a draw 4 months back. Sometimes I still can't believe that out of 200+ people who put in their names, mine got chosen. It's surreal the win an entire pack of goodies that would have set me back about $50 here at the local LSS. Thank you Lindsay, Eric and Julie! :)
First up is a notebook that I'm making for a Christmas Gift Exchange party. I figured that I should use up my stash rather than rush with the crowd to buy presents! I used the Girl Friday line which I'm starting to fall more in love with (I used to say that Early Bird was my favourite..but now I'm starting to waver!)
Next up is a tag made for Elaine, my dear colleague and friend. I hope she likes it! The tag is from Maya Road and paper from Cosmo! If you notice, my previous album is from Maya Road too..this is a remnant piece that I threw into the bin and took it out again after I thought it'll be a waste to stash it. Whops..Elaine..I hope you're not reading this!
The last picture is a fabric album that I made from scratch myself. Was inspired by Irene Gwen and I thought - what the heck, I'll make one myself cos I have no idea where to buy fabric albums!
Tomorrow is a busy day for me with work and a dinner party to go to. Here's wishing everyone a blessed Christmas!

Remembering 2009!
Got started to do this project about a week ago, mostly inspired by my Maya Road stash that is building up and I wanted to use up some of the albums (to justify buying more!)
I also wanted to capture the significant moments of 2009 - a year of great change to my life in so many aspects - changing work place, getting married and having a cute niece to play with.
I'll let the photos do the talking:
Will be back soon to share photos for 2 notebooks I did...they're almost finished!!

Photos & Update from ZA!
I got back on Sat morning after a long 12 hour flight from Cape Town. Gosh. I don't even know how to describe the crazy journey I had back home but oh well, I'm finally back and will let the photos do the talking. Needed some time to do laundry, pack the house and do collages for our photos which I finally got down to yesterday. Here they are:
On a separate note, do check out my good friend Justina's blog here if you're interested in some tips on motherhood and nursing covers. She's started sewing them for sale lately and if you're interested, email her or let me know. I've also taken to start on making fabric albums which will be completed tomorrow when I can get my hands on my sewing machine in my mum's place. Will post photos of my album when it's done. Maybe Jus and me can set up an etsy shop!! :)

I'm back!!!
Hey everyone,
I'm finally home after 9 days away in the beautiful land of S. Africa..woo!! I looked like a half baked black chicken now with a very uneven tan and am also half dazed and groggy due to the time difference. I have heaps of fabulous photos to share but that'll come later when I get the hubby to give them to me. For now, here's some nice links you may want to check out!
