Saying goodbye

A few colleagues are leaving us next year and I was asked to make some farewell gifts for them..Pretty glad to help EL dept out as it gave me a great opportunity to craft and also get rewarded for it!

For Heryati:  A really sweet and classy lady :)  We will miss you lot!

For Yee Ann, one of the nicest guy I've known..he practically has no evil bone in him and is always so obliging and nice.  I suggested a travel theme for him and the folks at EL readily agreed!  I think a travel theme is really very apt for someone who is leaving for greener pastures.  Very glad to use my OA Boarding Pass papers that I've hoarded since I bought them last month.  Had some inspiration to put some tickets on the cover for him to detach (if he ever will)..just for the fun of it..

Long overdue

I've had this layout for some time but never really got down to taking photos.  I am still bad at this photo thing - somehow adjusting the focus and all is not really my forte, much as I try.  I figured that asking H to teach me is like me trying to teach him how to cook so I think it's best we each stick to what we are good at!  At least I can whip up decent meals and am able to match up to his high standards for food.  Thanks to him, I have perfected the timing for cooking succulent, springy and soft meatballs and fishing them out just on time. PHEW!

Mum's Birthday..

Last week, the whole family gathered at Imperial Treasures for Mum's birthday and we had a blast!  The food was really nice and I think we all ate till we were so full and bursting at the seams...

 The whole family..now you can guess why my bro and sis always say I'm picked up from the dustbin cos I really think I don't look like them.. heee..

J is for..

Was very tempted to start this post with my usual apology as I have been gone for like one month but I shall not feel guilty as I have a crazy job and there is heaps to do!

Work is not so demanding these days so there is more time for me to get some scrapping done. 

Did this banner for little baby Jamie who's going to arrive soon and I thought it'll be nice for him to have one, just like Jude had.  These 2 boys are Justina's kids and Jus and me go way back to 2003 where we were colleagues. How time flies. Next thing you know, I'll be receiving my 10 year long service award! Whoo!

Used heaps of Prima's travel line...it was too cute to resist buying and I have been saving them for an opportune time to make something boyish.

Crazy crazy week...

Really swamped with work at the moment - things are heating up in late August which is rather unusual.  I've always thought that once Nat Day is over, things will go downhill but for now, work is really crazy and getting hectic.

Too many things to do, scrapping has taken a backseat and is rather non-existent.  There's still the occasional small scale scrapping but am really too busy to snap pics or plead with H to help to do so.  Hopefully, once this week is over I can get more done before prelim marking comes in.

Apologies for this -work is what brings in the doe so it has to take some sort of priority in my life but I'm determined to keep that under control and not let it be my ENTIRE life or let my life revolve around it.  Still learning to demarcate home and work space and not bring work home ( so ironic, i was just doing work an hour ago!).  Still trying, still learning...

JB Fun!!

Headed off to JB yesterday with Cool Club (my fabulous colleagues!).  We have been talking about going to JB for the longest time and after one failed attempt, we endeavoured to make it happen yesterday and by God's grace, we made it!

It's fun that the whole gang of 8 went on this trip and there were 4 cars in total - one guy and girl per car..how nice.  S came along since he is from JB and brought us around to each 'uber good food!

All in all, I think we had a great time bonding and spending time with each other.  The gang of 8 is really close knitted and most fun to be with!
